Jakarta, October 2026 — Jakarta Soul System returns with their latest single, “Safe Space,” an intimate R&B/Pop duet exploring the quiet moment when friendship begins to feel like something more — and neither person is brave enough to say it first.
Performed by Bryan Renaldo and Nabilla Wahyudi, “Safe Space” unfolds as a conversation between two people caught in the same uncertainty. Nabilla opens the song by admitting that she has been holding back her feelings, afraid that being honest could change everything between them. Bryan responds from the other side of the same silence, knowing that something deeper is there but finding comfort in leaving things exactly as they are.
At the heart of the song is a simple promise: “I can be your safe space.” More than just a love song, “Safe Space” is about finding someone who feels like home — a person you can talk to, be vulnerable with, and return to when everything else feels overwhelming.
Blending Indonesian and English lyrics, the track carries a romantic, intimate and bittersweet atmosphere. NSG’s warm R&B production keeps the arrangement understated, allowing the chemistry between Bryan and Nabilla and the emotion of the songwriting to take centre stage.
“Safe Space” also marks a new chapter for Jakarta Soul System, introducing Nabilla alongside Bryan as two distinct voices within the project. Their duet gives the song two perspectives, turning what could have been a one-sided confession into a story about two people who have been feeling the same thing all along.
Written by Nutyas Surya Gumilang, Bryan Sajow Renaldo and Nabilla Wahyudi, and produced by NSG, “Safe Space” continues Jakarta Soul System’s exploration of contemporary R&B through personal storytelling, bilingual songwriting and modern Indonesian perspectives..
